Google's Android 7.0 Nougat Version Now Officially Out of Beta


BENGALURU: In today’s world, technology has made the life of people all around the world easier. Although, it acts as a dual edged sword, the benefits of it are far better than the drawbacks. In this regard, we can mention Google’s latest offering, Android 7.0 Nougat, which is officially out of the beta build. The new Operating System (OS) according to Google is expected to be reach public in the next couple of weeks. The OS will enable users to have superior experience in terms of performance, battery & data, notifications, security, productivity, accessibility among others. Manufacturers like Samsung, Sony, HTC and LG have already approved a list of devices that will get the latest upgrade offered by Google. Apart from them, the OS would also be available on all Nexus devices. Here, we take a look at some of the features that the OS offers:

Revamped Notifications: This is one of the biggest update that comes with Android 7.0 Nougat. This feature will enable users in replying directly to chats as well as provide access to more options and quick toggles. 

Multitasking Support: The new OS will empower users to open two apps in split-screen mode. Although this feature was available in the past on Samsung and LG smartphones, Google is now making it a permanent feature with Android 7.0 Nougat.

Doze Mode: Google has also introduced a new feature called ‘Doze Mode’, which will help users defer CPU and network activity for apps running in the background. The new feature will ensure better battery performance as the smartphone will automatically go to that mode if the user is not using the device.

Data Saver: Another new in-built feature that Android 7.0 Nougat flaunts is the data saver feature. This empowers a user to restrict the usage of data for select apps on their devices and help them keep an eye on apps which act as data hogs.
