Google And Go Pro Collaborative 16 Camera VR Device Launched At Google I/O


BANGALORE: Google and Action Camera maker Go Pro came together to introduce a new device that is virtual reality system that carries 16 cameras at the Google I/O conference, reports ET.

 The 16 cameras are fitted in the shape of a circle so that the videos it captures will be of 360 degree angle and coverage of every nook running with the Google software. The arrangement of cameras and the support that carries it are optimized to work with the jump assembler.

The jump assembler is the device which enhances the video pieces covered by 16 cameras and transforms them into a stereoscopic VR video.

The device’s launch took place in San Francisco being the stage for the Google I/O conference, with this Google has launched its another set of entrée into the VR world with a device that is set apart from others at a high standards.

This 360 degree video device was the star attraction at the conference with people flocking around it to try how the device works and to view the video for the first time in a 360 degree view.
