Facing Slow Wi-Fi Issues? Here's What the Problem Might be

BENGALURU: Today myriad of houses in India have all got broadband Wi-Fi connection in their household as a basic amenity. No matter how far the country has travelled to achieve heights in developing wireless connectivity, but still the bandwidth speed is what we have always lagged on. As reported by the gadgetsnow.com, the secret behind slow Wi-Fi speed are as follows:

Distance between Wi-Fi router and device: It is a fact that when an individual is near to the signal tower the strength of the signal is more on the device and it gradually decreases as the person moves away from the tower. This applies for Wi-Fi also; an individual using wireless network will have good signal strength compared to other people who are far from the wireless router.

Concrete walls: Wi-Fi transmits data packets using ultrahigh radio frequencies which are received by the devices to access internet. These radio frequencies are affected when they are being obstructed by concrete walls. The waves cannot penetrate these walls. As a result, a person sitting inside a room will receive low Wi-Fi signal than that of a person close to the router.

Noise and microwave interference: As Wi-Fi router sends signal the radio waves are distorted due to loud noise and micro waves. So while installing always isolate Wi-Fi router from electrical machines which generates micro waves. The distortions affect the radio waves and will result in slow Wi-Fi.

Number of users: The speed of Wi-Fi gradually decreases with the increase in the number of users. This happens because the speed to transmit data is limited and for that limited speed many users extract packet data, resulting in low speed.

Multiple Downloads: If there are multiple downloads running on PC then it is evident that speed of Wi-Fi reduces for individual task kept for downloading. So it is better to complete individual tasks or urgent tasks and then move onto others. Executing such method will help to complete tasks faster with high Wi-Fi efficiency.
