1. Paytm introduces internet-free payment option

Now, users have the facility of making transactions through Paytm without the need to use a smartphone or even connect to the internet. They can simply dial a toll-free number (1800 1800 1234) to make offline transactions. However, as an initial process, users will need to register on Paytm using a smartphone and add money to the wallet. After the initial process, users can easily process offline transactions with vendors using a unique pin code.

2. OTP’s are no longer mandatory for online transactions under 2000

The Reserve Bank of India has recently removed the authentication rules for online transactions below 2000. As a one-time process, users making online payments will only need to register their card details with an authorized card network. Later, they can simply input the login details and complete the transaction.

3. Samsung Galaxy 8 may not feature a 3.5mm headphone jack

In a bid to add the essence of innovation into its smartphone, just like Apple, Samsung is likely to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack in its upcoming Galaxy 8 smartphone. Further reports suggest that, featuring only a USB Type-C port, the smartphone will come along with a 3.5mm headphone-to-USB Type-C adapter.
