Datawind To Launch Smartphone With Free Internet For 1 Year


BANGALORE: Datawind’s is all set to enter the competition with its venture in the Indian mobile market by launching affordable 3G smartphones with one year of free internet as complimentary.

The price-sensitive segment alongside the complimentary data services is a direct hit at other tech giants who are presenting a whole new range of DATAWINDphones packed with a number of features that are supposedly said to have a low cost pricing. The company aims at reducing the cost of 3G phones alongside lowering the cost of feature phones, reports Post.

The company will be launching two Android devices under 3,000 aiming at the first time smartphone users and existing features driven users. They are confirming the manufacturing unit in Delhi-NCR where the company is expected to supply the components of the phone within 3 months of content.

The company at present holding 3000 centers is taking measures to ensure a positive growth of its user base in the mobile Indian market by raising the figure of retail outlets and service centers to 3,600 by March 2016.
