Asus Zenfone Smartphones Confirm Android 5.0 Lollipop Update


BANGALORE: Google’s recently launched, Android 5.0 Lollipop it is one of the biggest update in the mobile operating software.

Now, a new update is ready with redesigned notification panel, quick settings, lock screen notifications, a new design philosophy called Material Design.

With Motorola being the first to update their mobiles with Android 5.0 Lollipop, the buzz is that Asus will also receive the updates. Asus has confirmed on its official forum that six of its devices (and their variants) will be receiving updated Android 5.0 Lollipop next year.

The list of devices scheduled to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop updates include the popular Asus ZenFone series of smartphones - ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5, and ZenFone 6 - alongside Padfone S and Padfone Infinity (second gen), as reported by IndiaTV.

The new Android 5.0 Lollipop also includes multi-user support for phones, battery save mode and supports 64-bit processors. Android 5.0 Lollipop also comes with an opt-in kill switch dubbed 'Factory Reset Protection', which will allow users to wipe out the device's data on.
