6 Tech Founders Who Were Fired From Their Own Companies

BANGALORE: What would be the feeling of being thrown out of the very company that you built from scratch? Like being gutted out of one’s house, the feeling is very depressing and your confidence takes a big hit. But did sitting back being depressed get any of the successful people to be where they are right now. No, the tales to strike back will be legendary; here are the stories of the now successful leaders who were once fired from their very own firms.

Noah Glass

This online social networking service was named by Noah Glass, but you won’t find his name among the top riders. Glass was a key member in the original Twitter team, and also was the co-founder who designed some of its core features.

He was the prime motivating force behind launching it and also helped to create and develop the idea which eventually shaped as the daily tweeting site.

Another co-founder Evan Williams and Glass created a podcasting platform called Odeo, back in 2006 (before Twitter even started) but the idea became outdated as soon as Apple launched iTunes.  So in search of a new idea they came up with Twitter and Glass was in charge of the new software, with which he wanted to make his own company. But Evan bought all the stocks of Odeo, including Twitter back from the initial investors and for reasons unknown fired Glass from the company for which he was the backbone.
