BENGALURU: Every year, the internet giant, Google launches the new version of Android operating system at Google I/O, held at Moscone Center in California. With just few days for Google I/O to commence, let us look at what Google may include in its upcoming Android update, reports IB Times.

“M” Stands For Muffin?

Google has traditionally named all its android versions on treats. However, a glimpse at the description of “Android for Work Update” revealed that the new variant of Android OS will bring its power across all workplaces. Several rumors are surfacing regarding what “M” may stand for and “Muffin” seems to be the favorite choice among people.

Fingerprint, Not Password

The upcoming Android operating system will use fingerprint sensing technology to overrule the manual password entering process. However, since fingerprint feature requires sensors, thus, it will work on selected Smartphones that are compatible with this technology.

Android and IOT Ecosystem

The new Android M may include support for various IoT devices. Google is already pioneering in self-driven cars and has already entered the Smart Wear segment by launching its Android Wear. Google may provide support for being more in sync with devices at home like air conditioners and refrigerators.

Google Auto

The automotive sector is increasingly becoming dependent on computers. The company launched Google Auto for automobiles and it may get an update with few advance features. However, there is no official news from the company on this subject.

Notification System

Google is all about trying new user experiences. It may try for a uniform experience that is common across tablet, Smartphone and Computer system. The company may modify the internals for a better synchronization experience for the user.
