10 'Worthy To Follow' Futuristic Technologies

Project  Loon

This project undertaken by Google is to provide internet access to remote areas around the world by releasing helium balloons into air that supports a boxy gondola stuffed with solar-powered electronics. By doing this Google is aiming to expand educational and economic opportunities for those who are offline.

This way of spreading internet access by Google is reliable as well as cost effective. Along with Google, Facebook is also in plans to implement this. This technology will be available within 1-2 years.

Liquid Biopsy

Cancer is the disease behind the death of many people in Asia and around the world. Though there are ways in which cancer can be cured or atleast controlled still the death toll is strikingly high, this is because most of the people don’t realize the signs of cancer until it is too late. So in a way to reduce the death toll, the concept of Liquid Biopsy is contrived. With this technology people can be made aware of the symptoms of cancer through simple blood tests performed by DNA sequencing machines.

Dennis Lo, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Illumina and Bert Vogelstein, Johns Hopkins are the key players from whom we can expect the technology and as for the availability it is accessible now.
