Rumored: Xiaomi Arch,World's First Dual-Edge Display Smartphone


BANGALORE: Xiaomi known for delivering top notch features is at it again with its attempt on a Galaxy Note Edge-like smartphone with a dual-edge display, dubbing the Xiaomi Arch reports NDTV Gadgets.

Technology media house Gizmo China posses a never before-seen footage of the Xiaomi Arch smartphone. The image stood as an alibi for the world's first ever device phone sporting a dual-edge display or in other words a dual-curved screen.

 However, the Chinese manufacturer has not announced any news as of it. Nonetheless Xiaomi’s two models Mi 5 or Mi 4S smartphone and the MiPad 2 tablet will be anticipated at CES 2015.Speculation state that these models will be sporting  a 5.7-inch Quad-HD (1440x2560 pixels) display; a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor; 3GB of RAM, and a 20.7-megapixel rear camera.

Xiaomi Arch in a similar way is like a concept smartphone and despite the single-edge display featured on the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Note Edge; it sports a dual-edge display. In regard to the supposed image for the assumed Mi 5 or Mi 4S, the Smartphone can be similarly akin to a big screen phablet. It is rumored to be complemented with a sapphire glass display which links to the report that stated that the company has ordered 50,000 sapphire covers for the smartphone.

The much awaited next generation Xiaomi MiPad tablet is presumed to be titled as MiPad 2 and will probably display an Intel chipset (1.8GHz) in place of Nvidia Tegra SoC, seen on the original MiPad. It is also believed that the MiPad 2 consist of a similar 7.9-inch display with a 2048x1536 pixels resolution; 2GB of RAM; 16GB of built-in storage, and MIUI overlapping Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
